The interior is covered mostly by sugar cane fields, rare species of animals, birds, vegetation, and caves with fresh water springs. Saona Island Full Day Excursion

Departing your hotel by air conditioned bus transfer, conducted by multi-lingual guides we will take a short drive to Higuey where we will stop at the Cathedral (Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia) to take pictures. Then we will drive to the fishing village of Bayahibe, where we will embark on a speed boat ride along the coastline of the East National Park to Saona Island with its majestic palm trees, pristine white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue water.

Experience the largest Caribbean Sea marine refuge and nursery in our area of the country, while enjoying the many different indigenous bird species our country has to offer in their natural habitats. Approximately 35 minutes of snorkeling is included.

Drinks offered throughout the day include: sodas, water, and local drinks, such as rum.

Hot lunch includes: Dominican style selections of pasta, rice, grilled pork chops, fish, bread and fresh fruits. There are no specific menus for children or vegetarians, but there is enough variety to satisfy most dietary requests.

We conclude our trip with a cruise back from Saona Island to Bayahibe on our large catamaran along the breath taking coastline.

Saona Tour with Alto de Chavon Full Day Excursion

This is the opportunity of a lifetime. Drive to La Romana and the first stop will be at Altos de Chavon, a perfect recreation of a 16th-century Mediterranean village. Enjoy the visits at the impressive amphitheatre, small church, art galleries, boutiques and a great view of Rio de Chavon. From here the bus will take us to the charming fishing village Bayahibe where we will board speed boats, which will take us to the famous "Isla Saona".

Enjoy the boat trip and take in the natural beauty of this national park with its pristine white beaches and the marvelous clear Caribbean waters. Volleyball, merengue dancing, an open bar, will be followed by a fine buffet lunch. After lunch we'll head back to the mainland, with a stop for a swim in a natural swimming pool.
